Jack’s 930 Trubo. A true icon.

There are moments in a photographers journey that stay with you. When the light hits just right, the feeling after you snap the perfect picture and the places photography takes you. My shoot with Jack Harding and Claudia, his beautiful Porsche 930 Turbo was the perfect blend of passion, engineering and emotion.

Let’s talk about Jack Harding. A photographer I have followed for a while and gained a lot of inspiration for his style in both commercial and creative aspects. Jack travels the world constantly, working with so many well known brands. You are truly living the dream Jack! It was a pleasure to shoot with him and especially with Claudia.

The 930 Turbo isn’t just some classic car, it’s a living legend. An iconic part of Porsche History. Nicknamed the “Widowmaker” for its wild handling which caused many crashes and deaths as no one could handle the sheer raw, untamed and purely mechanical performance of the 930.

After Jack had some free time in between all these crazy road trips he has been on with Claudia, we finally got a chance to get out and snap a few pictures. What better location to use other than South Queensferry. The classic picture perfect location with the Bridges in the background. To get the perfect light for this location it had to be sunrise, which meant the early wake up… Totally worth it though!

My first time shooting a classic Porsche properly and experiencing one. Spending the morning with Jack and the 930 Turbo really made me appreciate how far Porsche have come as a brand and how far cars have come in general. I’m lucky enough to be around some pretty crazy cars a lot of the time but this was really special. I enjoyed taking pictures of something classic as new cars can get very repetitive and makes it hard to stay creative, this was a lovely freshen up.

I love to see that jack isn’t shy about putting miles on Claudia either. This car has pretty much been everywhere, she ain’t a garage queen!
